Coalescing Filter Separator
Removal of solids and fine droplets
The coalescing filter is a 2-stage separator targeting the removal of solid particulates and fine droplets to provide the highest clean gas conditions. The first stage consists of a multi-cyclone separator that removes solids and liquids. As the first stage (Multi-Cyclones) is explicitely exposed to erosion damage - caused by the incoming particulates - a special arrangement of the cyclones is provided.
Only a very small fraction of liquid can pass the cyclone towards the coalescing cartridges. The coalescing cartridges will filter solids and remove the remaining droplets.
Ensepatec provides – based on the operating conditions and the separation requirements – a package consisting of both separator vessel and separation internals. On special request we provide -. based on operarting data - the main dimensions of the separator vessel. For details see technical brochure EST-TB.01, page 13.
Performance data:
The removal efficiency for solid particulates and liquid droplets can be as low as <1.0µm.
The pressure loss of the separator is subject of operating gas density and choice of internals. It can be adjusted to the technical requirements.
