RainSep
Rain removal & filter protection
RainSep air/liquid separators from ENSEPATEC provide maximum protection against intake of rain, mist and most fog from wetting out downstream equipment and filters. Wetted filters will increase pressure loss and reduce the efficiency and life of the filters. Keeping your filter dry will ensure maximum performance and life of the filters minimizing maintenance cost and cost of operating the equipment.

Keeping liquid out of your intakes will also reduce corrosion effects, especially in coastal areas or near highways that are salted in the winter. It will also prevent standing water in the intakes that may be a source for biological growth.
Why use RainSep?
Replacing standard horizontal louvers with RainSep provides:
- Higher removal efficiency down to 10 microns in diameter and larger
- Operation at higher design velocity (smaller opening) and lower pressure loss
- Can handle rain coming in at any angle and wind swept rains even the worst tropical rain storm
- More effectively drains collected liquid.
Standard horizontal louvers only provide protection from direct impaction of rain droplets. It does not offer protection from droplets that air carried by the wind. RainSep is designed to virtually remove all droplets down to 10 microns in diameter and larger at lower pressure loss.
For reference, fog is classified between 2 microns and 60 microns and the human eye cannot detect droplets much smaller than 50 microns in diameter.
The performance of RainSep is accomplished using vertical profiles with specially engineered surface features that effectively collect, shelter and drain the entrained water droplets from the air stream.
RainSep can be supplied with just the separator or packaged with single or double stage particulate filters to best meet your needs.
RainSep is available in a broad range of materials including polypropylene, marine grade aluminium and various stainless steels to best meet your application and budget. RainSep is your best insurance policy against performance loss, corrosion, and biological growth to ensure maximum performance of your air handling system.
